Nacho Fernandez has reached a milestone — 10 years since his first team debut with the club. The center back was called up by Jose Mourinho for a La Liga match vs Valencia at the Mestalla. He played as a left back in a team featuring Kaka, Higuain, Benzema, and Iker Casillas. It was an eventful match that finished 6-3 in favor of Madrid.

Speaking to Real Madrid Television, Nacho reflected back on his 10 years with the club. “Real Madrid has given me everything. It is my family and I don’t think of life without Real Madrid. It has taught me everything: education, values, knowing how to win and knowing how to lose. It is a family. I am very grateful and I hope to be in Madrid for many years,” Nacho emphasized.

The former Castilla captain is an example for all Cateranos especially for the current generation coming through the academy. Through hard work, dedication, and a team-first attitude — anything is possible. Nacho in his 10th season, is currently enjoying his richest vein of form. The center back has been crucial in big ties this season vs Inter Milan, Atlanta, Liverpool, and Barcelona. He has proven himself to be a “big-game player” and has earned an important role this season.
