Real Betis manager (and former Real Madrid manager) Manuel Pellegrini spoke to the press after his side drew 0 - 0 away to Real Madrid at Estadio Alfredo di Stefano.
Pellegrini, whose side have now drawn five straight games in La Liga, felt his team didn’t do much attacking-wise, but also didn’t feel like his team were threatened by Real Madrid.
“I am left with the feeling of all the previous draws, that the team is here to compete as equals to any team,” Pellegrini said after the game. “We had some clear chances against a Madrid team that, with all its offensive potential, did not have clear chances.”
”We played a good first half, where the first 15-20 minutes we fought very well, trying to hurt them. The rest of the first half we played very inconsequential. In the second half we kept up our defensive work and added three to four clear chances. I’m left with the feeling that they did little harm to us.“
