Real Madrid host Chelsea in the first leg of the Champions League Semifinals. After what has been a tough, inconsistent season for Los Blancos, they’re now just three games away from reaching European glory and the Champions League is quite certainly the most realistic chance of winning a title for them, given that Atletico are two points ahead of them in the table with Barcelona potentially being three points ahead if they win their game at hand.

Chelsea have had a strange season as well but they found some momentum and good form since former Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel took over. They have quick players like Timo Werner, Cristian Pulisic or Mason Mount on offense, while midfielders Kante and Jorginho tend to press very hard in order to make the opposition’s job much more difficult.

Madrid could very well be considered the favorites to advance and face either PSG or Manchester City in the Final, but they should not take Chelsea for granted and will be at their very best if they want to go through.

Don’t miss this crucial game!
