Real Madrid have published their squad list for Saturday’s clash at Estadio Alfredo di Stefano against Osaunsa in matchday 34 La Liga.

REAL MADRID SQUAD:

Goalkeepers: Courtois, Lunin and Altube.

Defenders: E. Militão, R. Varane, Nacho, Marcelo, Odriozola and Miguel.

Midfielders: Kroos, Modrić, Casemiro, Isco, Arribas and Blanco.

Forwards: Hazard, Benzema, Asensio, Vini Jr., Mariano and Rodrygo.

A few standouts from that list. Zinedine Zidane has called up Antonio Blanco, Miguel Gutierrez, and Sergio Arribas from Castilla. I suspect we’ll see them one way or the other — especially if the team gets a sizeable lead against Osasuna — given that the priority will be to get to the Chelsea second-leg on Wednesday as healthy as possible.

Notable omissions: Sergio Ramos, Ferland Mendy, and Fede Valverde. It’s not shocking to see Mendy and Valverde out (Mendy still wasn’t training fully, and Valverde’s COVID situation has not improved). But Ramos’s omission is slightly worrying, given that he was training fully today. Zidane probably doesn’t want to risk Ramos in this game even 1%, but it also means he won’t get any match fitness before the Chelsea game.

Eden Hazard is set to start this weekend, according to Spanish football journalist Jose Luis Sanchez.
