Real Madrid’s home match against Liverpool is a monumental one for Los Blancos, who need to complete a solid performance against an attacking-minded squad and will have to do so without key starters Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajal.

Real Madrid predicted XI: Courtois, Vazquez, Varane, Nacho, Mendy, Marcelo, Casemiro, Kroos, Modric, Asensio, Benzema.

Liverpool predicted XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Kabak, Robertson, Fabinho, Thiago, Wijnaldum, Mane, Salah, Jota.

Coach Zinedine Zidane has many options to choose from but it seems that he could go with a 3-5-2 lineup with Varane, Nacho and Mendy as the center-backs while Vazquez and Marcelo would play on the flanks as full-backs, where they can focus on offense.

If that’s the case, Asensio could likely be the chosen one to play alongside Benzema. Asensio has been comfortable as a secondary striker through the center and is better suited for that spot than Vinicius and Rodrygo, who could come off the bench if needed.
