Real Madrid host Liverpool in the first leg of the Champions League Quarterfinals. Neither team has been at its best so far this season and key players like Virgil Van Dijk, Sergio Ramos, Dani Carvajal or Jordan Henderson will miss the game and potentially the whole tie, but this is still European football at its finest.

Both sides are trying to use the Champions League to somewhat rescue their season, although Real Madrid have put themselves back in the race for La Liga title in recent weeks.

Liverpool are a very dangerous offensive team but could be very vulnerable on defense because of their injuries. On the other hand, Real Madrid will likely use a 3-5-2 formation to improve their defensive stability now that Sergio Ramos and Varane aren’t available.

Either way and no matter the injuries, a clash between Real Madrid and Liverpool is always a thrilling one, so make sure to tune in.
