The Madrid-based news outlet Marca has reported that Real Madrid Femenino have signed Lucía Rodríguez, Rocío Gálvez and María García. The three defenders have been brought on to help reinforce Las Blancas’ defensive depth.

Marca’s David Menayo reports that all that is missing to sign these players is their signature and a medical examination that is set to take place this week. All three players are at the end of their contract and will be able to join Real Madrid Femenino without the club having to pay a transfer fee to the players’ respective clubs.

Lucía currently plays right back for Real Sociedad. The 21-year-old defender previously played for CD Tacón. She is a versatile defender who can play anywhere across the back line.

Rocío is 24-years-old and is experienced. She is currently with Levante and has played for Real Betis, Atlético Madrid, and Levante. Gálvez would compete with Ivana Andrés and Babett Peter at center back.

María García, also known as Pichi, plays for Madrid CFF. She is 18-years-old and made her first-team debut this season. Pichi is a young prospect and could provide Las Blancas some depth as a backup defender.
