Player Ratings

Starting XI

Misa — 6/10: Misa did what she needed to in goal against Eibar. She wasn’t forced into anything difficult because the Eibar attack was toothless throughout the match.

Kenti Robles — 6.5/10: Robles wasn’t required to defend much on the day. She got forward and tried to find Las Blancas players in the box with her crosses.

Babett Peter — 6.5/10: Peter wasn’t tested by the Eibar forwards but she did well to play out of the Basque side’s situational press with her ability on the ball and her passing.

Ivana Andrés — 6.5/10: Ivana was good on the ball throughout the match. She initiated the build-up from the back and was calm and safe on the ball when dealing with Eibar’s press.

Marta Corredera — 6/10: Corredera was deployed as the left winger in a 4-2-3-1. She was involved in some dangerous play around the box. Her deflected pass found Marta Cardona in the lead up to the first goal.

Teresa Abelleira — 7.5/10: Teresa formed part of the double pivot with Maite Oroz. She helped facilitate build-up and looked dangerous when she turned and drove into space. Teresa won the ball back and turned to run at the defense, kickstarting the play that resulted in Cardona’s goal.

Maite Oroz — 7.5/10: Oroz ran the midfield like she normally does. She was integral to Madrid’s distribution and recovered the ball all over the pitch to regain possession for Las Blancas.

Sofia Jakobsson — 5.5/10: Jakobsson was isolated as the lone striker for large stretches of the match. She was moved to the left wing after Jessica Martínez was introduced, but didn’t grow into the match.

Olga Carmona — 7/10: Olga played as a left back behind Corredera in this match. Olga was one of the most dangerous players in the first half, getting to the byline and putting in quality crosses. She was replaced by Martínez in the 56th minute.

Kosovare Asllani — 6/10: Asllani had good moments sporadically throughout the match. She linked up well with Teresa and Maite Oroz in midfield but was unable to get very involved in the final third.

Marta Cardona — 8/10: Cardona had a hand in both goals and proved to be too much for Eibar to deal with. The ball fortunately found Cardona and she dispatched calmly. Cardona’s slaloming run created the chance for Lorena that resulted in the second goal.

Substitutes

Jessica Martínez — 6/10: Martinez came on for Olga Carmona in the 56th minute. She did well to get on the end of set-piece service but was unable to convert.

Kaci — 6/10: Kaci was also introduced in the 56th minute. The match became more chaotic in the second half and Kaci won duels in the midfield and sparked transition opportunities for Las Blancas.

Lorena Navarro — 7/10: Lorena came on and did a lot of really good work on and off the ball. She took the team’s second goal well and put the game to bed.

Thaisa — N/A: In the 85th minute, Thaisa came on to help close out the match.
