Former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has reportedly had a meeting with Real Madrid this week over the possible open managerial spot this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Romano says that Allegri and the club have had contact since March and is willing to join the club if Zinedine Zidane actually leaves Madrid this summer. Romano says that there are three names on the shortlist, including current Castilla manager and club legend Raul.

Romano says that club president Florentino Perez called to sign Allegri three years ago, but he was still in agreement with Juventus. Romano reports that nothing has been officially signed or decided, but this is contingent on Zidane actually departing.

There were reports saying that Zidane had already told the players that he was leaving the club. He has since commented saying he has not told the players about his future with Real Madrid.

While it seems there is something here with Zidane possibly leaving after this season, nothing is official yet. Zidane nor the club will likely make an official decision until after the La Liga season concludes.

It seems that the Allegri and Raul talks are in preparation for Zidane possibly leaving should he decide to depart. Romano says Perez will be making his decision soon.
