In an interview today with Sky Sports Deutschland, Martin Odegaard discussed his future, and how it’s still in limbo. Odegaard, who is currently on loan at Arsenal from Real Madrid, has a lack of clarity about what Real Madrid want to do with him. While Arsenal seem to be happy to keep him, and Odegaard is happy playing in London, Real Madrid will have the deciding factor.
It’s very possible that Real will not make a decision until they have clarity over who will be their manager next season so that said manager can choose whether he’ll use Odegaard as part of his plans or not.
“I’m happy here at Arsenal, we will see after the season what will happen,” the Norwegian told Sky Sports Deutschland. “I’m owned by Real Madrid, so we have to speak to them, it’s important to understand what they want.”
Arsenal will not be playing in Europe next season, and Odegaard will possibly play his last game in an Arsenal shirt against Brighton on May 23rd.
