Real Madrid’s home match against Villarreal is a decisive one. Los Blancos face a must-win situation if they want to win the title, but at the same time they would still have to wait for Atletico de Madrid to drop points against Valladolid to conquer their 35th Liga trophy.

Villarreal have been a very solid team this season, so Real Madrid’s win today shouldn’t be taken for granted. Emery’s men have reached the UEFA Europa League Final and are still competing for a spot in next year’s edition of the European tournament, so they will surely put up a fight at the Alfredo di Stefano.

Madrid will have both Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane back with the team but they haven’t played a single minute since they got injured, so deploying them both in the starting lineup could be risky considering how reliable Militao and Nacho have been since given the chance.

Don’t miss this last game of the season!
