Real Madrid completed the signing of former Bayern Munich defender David Alaba this Friday. Alaba signed a five-year deal as a free agent and shared some words on his Social Media right after the signing was made official.
“I leave a special club for another special club. I’m really happy about being able to be a part of Real Madrid. After so many years in Munich I will embrace this new challenge and give my very best so that this club’s history continues,” said Alaba.
The defender is looking forward to making his debut for the club.
“I can’t wait to play my first match with the legendary white jersey in front of all of you Real Madrid fans. I’m certain that this will be an experience full of success alongside all madridistas. Vamos!,” he added.
Alaba will turn 29 years old this summer and his versatility will definitely be a useful quality for Los Blancos, given that he can play as a left-back, as a central defender and also as a defensive midfielder.
