UEFA have appointed Italian referee Daniele Orsato as the man in charge of the return leg of the Champions League Semifinals between Chelsea and Real Madrid, which will be played this Wednesday at Stamford Bridge.

Per Realmadrid.com
Daniele Orsato will officiate the Champions League semi-finals second leg match between Chelsea and Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge (Wednesday, 9pm CEST). The Italian referee will take charge of a match involving Zidane’s side for the fourth time in this competition.

The first was in the win over Malmö at the Santiago Bernabéu (8-0), during the Group Stage in the 2015/16 season. The second time was in the 1-0 win over Galatasaray at the Ali Sami Yen in the third game of last season Champions League group stage. Most recently, also last season was in the round of 16 against Manchester City, which ended in defeat.

Orsato is a quality referee and one of the most experienced officials in Italian football, so he should be a non-factor in this game, which ultimately benefits both teams as they know that they will be treated fairly.

Chelsea hold a 1-1 lead on aggregate, so Real Madrid will need to either win the game or draw while scoring two goals or more.
