Real Madrid’s Isco Alarcon and Mariano Diaz are not considering a departure from the club this summer, according to a report published on MARCA. Real Madrid would like to get rid of both players in order to increase their budget, but the two of them know that it will be impossible for other clubs to match their current salaries.
More of the same can be said about Marcelo or Gareth Bale, who are under contract until the summer of 2022. If not one of these players leave the club this summer, Madrid would be in a tough spot financially, even more so after the pandemic. Signing David Alaba wasn’t cheap, and Los Blancos would almost definitely need to wait until 2022 to sign Kylian Mbappe as a free agent.
Isco could have some kind of role for new coach Carlo Ancelotti, who always gave found a way to give him minutes during his first tenure in the Spanish capital. Things are not looking that promising for Marcelo or Mariano, though. If Bale stays and Ancelotti can make sure he’s engaged, he could end up playing some minutes during the season even if only as a backup winger.
