Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has not answered to the club’s last offer to extend his contract and seems ready to leave the Spanish capital this summer. Varane’s deal with Madrid expires in 2022 but Los Blancos don’t want to lose him as a free agent and know that there could be some clubs willing to spend around €70 million.
In this context, Varane seems keen on joining Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report from El Confidencial. Manchester United are also interested in the defender and some reports published weeks ago suggested that the British side had offered around €40 million for his transfer, with Madrid rejecting the offer. Still, Varane would rather make his return to France, where he would join Presnel Kimpembe, who is his partner in France’s defensive line.
PSG and Real Madrid already appeared to be destined to at least have some talks about Kylian Mbappe, so Varane’s name could potentially be discussed if the French club are truly interested in the central-defender.
