According to Gazetta journalist Alfredo Pedulla, who is a reliable source in Italy, Erling Haaland already has a ‘total agreement’ with Real Madrid which means he has already agreed to sign with Real next season.
The barrier lies with Borussia Dortmund, who are reportedly ready to led Haaland go to Real Madrid, but not at the current terms. Dortmund are asking for 175m for their prized Norwegian superstar, and while Real Madrid are willing to go over the 100m million mark, they likely won’t hit the threshold needed to sign Haaland.
Haaland will likely be much cheaper next summer given that there is a reported clause that could see his release clause be set to 75m.
Pedulla’s report also states that Real Madrid will explore Lautaro Martinez as an option if Haaland can’t be signed, but that the club will still look to sign Erling Haaland as their priority and will prioritize making it work with him over the next few days.
