Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti wants to have midfielder Antonio Blanco in the squad next season, according to AS. The young midfielder showed his potential after making his debut with the first team during the last third of the campaign and Ancelotti decided that he could be a useful player in the 2021-2022 season.

Madrid were reportedly considering a loan deal for Blanco, given that he is already too good for Castilla and the Segunda Division B, but Ancelotti’s decision will force the club to change their minds and keep the young midfielder in the roster.

Still, Blanco could play for Castilla regularly, given that earning consistent minutes with the first team will be difficult. If that’s the case, Blanco could train with the first team during the week and then either be included in Madrid’s squad list in case of need or simply help Raul’s team as they try to promote to Segunda Division.
