Real Madrid have officially renewed Lorena Navarro’s contract until 2023, which will give her a minimum of two more seasons with the All Whites.

Lorena only racked up 527 minutes and 4 starts this season, but proved to be a super sub off the bench, logging 7 goals (a rate of 1.2 every 90 minutes). At 20-years-old, she has plenty of growth left and could yet turn into a more prominent figure as the years progress.
However, she still provides plenty of value in her current role, possessing a flexible skillset that allows her to fit alongside virtually anyone that Real Madrid have or might sign.
Her off-ball intelligence and unselfishness makes her a perfect fit for winning set-ups and she will likely always have a place in the squad as long as the club wants her here.
Lorena’s renewal comes off the back of Aurélie Kaci’s and is likely the beginning of a number of such extensions for other players.
