Kosovare Asllani named Mahou Five Star Player of the Season

Asllani led Las Blancas with 16 goals this season.

Kosovare Asllani was named the Mahou Five Star Player of the Season for Real Madrid Femenino. The award was determined by a fan vote and was announced today.

“This is an award for the whole team because of the work of the team during this season,” said Asllani.

Asllani led Real Madrid in goals scored with 16. She finished fifth in the race for the Pichichi, the award for Primera Iberdrola’s top scorer, behind Jennifer Hermoso (31), Esther Gonzalez (30), Alexia Putellas (18) and Asisat Oshoala (18).

The Swedish star scored five of her goals from the penalty spot and averaged 0.55 goals per match. Asllani also contributed one assist in the Primera Iberdrola season.

Asllani scored the fastest hat trick in Real Madrid history this season in Las Blancas’ 3-1 win over Valencia. She scored three goals in 155 seconds, scoring her first goal in the 67th minute of the match via a free kick and she completed the hat trick in the 70th minute.
