Some interesting comments from Ancelotti during his first presser:

Signing a superstar striker who scores 30 goals a season won’t solve the goalscoring problem. To score goals you need a system. A tactical system that helps everyone in the team score goals.

“We need to build an offensive system with a lot of goals from everyone, the youngsters, all the forwards, the midfielders, everyone.”

“With this squad we can compete for everything, and by bringing back the loanees, like Bale, Odegaard and Ceballos.”

“We have a very big squad and we need to analyze it before we think about signings.”

AS’ cover is about Ancelotti’s comment that the squad is too big and needs to be reduced.

Will Arbeloa be assistant coach?

Yesterday, I reported Aberloa would be joining as Ancelotti’s assistant. However, the coaching staff it is yet to be defined. The latest rumour suggests that only Ancelotti’s son will be assistant coach.

Luis Campos linked to Nice

There is a rumour that Campos will join OCG Nice in Ligue 1. However, according to Mario Cortegana, Campos hasn’t reached an agreement with any club and a meeting with Real Madrid will happen. The Ancelotti signing, however, delayed the meeting with Campos.
