Real Madrid want to get rid of Gareth Bale, Isco Alarcon and Marcelo’s contracts this summer and the three players are still on the transfer block, according to a report published on MARCA.
Carlo Ancelotti’s return to Real Madrid could’ve changed the club’s plans and while the Italian coach had praise for all of his players and even more for the ones he coached during his first tenure in Madrid, the club simply wants to move on and sell —or just let go as free agents if no other club wants to pay a transfer fee— the three players.
Moving those three contracts would save Real Madrid €50 million this year, which would ultimately increase Madrid’s flexibility in the market going forward.
It won’t be easy for Real Madrid’s board to find any possible destinations for those three players, who will surely want to let their current deals expire given that it’s extremely unlikely that their next club will mach their current salary.
