Mini-Clasico to return after seven year wait

Castilla and Barcelona B will play each other next season.

Real Madrid Castilla have been drawn in the same group as Barcelona B in the new Primera División RFEF for next season.

Spain's brand new third tier will see forty teams compete for four places in the second tier. The teams have been divided into two groups based on geographic proximity with Castilla put in Group 2 with the likes of Atletico Baleares, Sevilla Atletico, Villarreal B, Albacete and their famed rivals Barcelona.

Neither side have met each other in a competitive fixture in seven years. The last mini-Clasico took place in the Segunda Division with Castilla winning 3-1.

Barcelona will be the headline fixture in a very challenging group for Castilla. The group is filled with perennial playoff contenders and recently relegated second division teams and there isn't likely to be any easy games for Raul's side next season.

In the short term, the team will relax, decide their futures and come back later this summer for the start of pre-season.
