Samara Ortiz announced that she is leaving Real Madrid Femenino. The announcement comes a day after her twin sister Malena Ortiz announced her renewal with the club.
The right back, like her sister, joined CD Tacon in 2016 and played with the club through its transition to Real Madrid Femenino in 2020.
Samara said her goodbyes to Real Madrid and its fans in a message on Twitter:
“In the best way, this “Sueño Real” arrives at its end. I feel very fortunate to have been a part of the history of Real Madrid Femenino.
It has been a season full of requirements and goals, of tough moments and happy moments. I want to thank all of the fans for all of the care that they have shown me during this year.
Also, thank you to the club and the technical staff for all of the support you have demonstrated and for the support to the women’s team which is so important. And of course, thank you to my teammates who I now consider my second family.
I wish you all the best in the next season and in the future.”
