Erling Haaland could be a target for Real Madrid this summer transfer window if PSG come to an agreement with Kylian Mbappe, according to ABC Deportes.

The report says that Haaland has already been informed that if Mbappe stays in Paris, a transfer will be talked about between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund. Real reportedly knows they need to acquire a prolific goalscorer and will be looking to improve until the window closes.

It reports that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi will negotiate with Mbappe and discuss his future with the club past his current contract, which is set to expire in 2022. If they reach an agreement, Real Madrid will reportedly turn their attention towards Haaland.

There’s been plenty of reports prior to this one that conflict with the narrative ABC is trying to tell. Dortmund has been steady in keeping Haaland for another season while agent Mino Raiola has said that the club will not sell him this summer despite interest from many clubs.

Despite this report, it seems unlikely Haaland will leave Dortmund this summer. While the Mbappe situation is still up in the air, there appears to be nothing imminent indicating he will leave Paris this summer either.
