Real Madrid defender Eder Militao is hoping to get more relevant minutes with the club in the 2021-2022 season, according to a report published on MARCA. Militao completed impressive performances when Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos got injured even though he was Madrid’s fourth center-back in the rotation during the first half of the season.
With both Ramos and Varane potentially leaving the club this summer, Militao knows that he could very well be in line for a crucial role when La Liga kicks off, even after the signing of David Alaba as a free agent. If he keeps playing quality minutes for Brazil during the Copa America, Militao will definitely be an important player for Real Madrid when the season starts.
It’s not clear if new coach Carlo Ancelotti is a fan of Militao’s game, but the Brazilian defender surely earned his minutes and proved his worth during the last third of the 2020-2021 season, so the Italian coach will have a brilliant, physical and young center-back at his disposal no matter what happens with Ramos and Varane.
