Real Madrid and AC Milan are finalizing the transfer of Brahim Diaz on a loan move with a €30 million option to buy clause, according to a report from Fabrizio Romano. The deal is expected to close in the coming days.

Brahim Diaz would like to continue with AC Milan and Carlo Ancelotti is not opposed to the move. With an “overbooking” of wingers — Hazard, Vinicius JR, Asensio, Rodrygo, Bale, Kubo, and even Odegaard, Isco, and Arribas as options — Real Madrid could not force Brahim’s hand. After playing a prominent role for AC Milan Coach, Stefano Pioli, a role that helped secure the Champions League for next season, Brahim is looking to continue his career abroad.

Despite a potential €30 million sale in 2022, a report from AS indicates that Real Madrid would include a buy-back clause in the deal. Brahim is considered one of the best U21 talents from Spain, and Madrid rarely let a talent like Brahim leave without any type of re-purchase option or right of first refusal. The young playmaker made his full Spanish debut against Lithuania last night, scoring the team’s second goal. Brahim’s versatility, as well as being ambidextrous, means he can play in 3-4 positions in the attacking line and helped push his valuation to €30 million.
