Forgive us for, technically speaking, posting some news about a non-Real Madrid player. But Sergio Ramos is eternal here, and given that his contract with the club ended only yesterday, it’s worth discussing his next destination, which seems to be Paris.
Mohamed Bouhafsi of RMC Sport reported today that Sergio Ramos will join Paris Saint Germain on a two-year contract, and that his brother, Rene, has agreed to terms with the Parisians. Ramos will then have a medical at PSG in the coming days.
The two-year deal is something that was always key for Ramos, and it was something that Real Madrid did not want to give to their Real Madrid legend due to his age, and probably various other factors, like his injuries and reluctance to initially stay.
It will be undoubtedly strange seeing Ramos in a PSG kit (or any non-Real Madrid kit), but we wish him the best in a new chapter of his playing career.
