Real Madrid have completed the signing of Barcelona under-19s captain Jaume Jardí. The 19 year old winger comes in on a free transfer after his contract with the Catalan club expired in the summer. Jaume will play for Castilla and becomes their second signing of the window after the club signed Rafa Llorente from Las Rozas earlier in the summer. It had been reported by Marca earlier today that Jaume was close to signing for the club, with picture confirmation being released later that evening of Jardí signing his contract. The consensus from Barcelona fans is that Jaume was a player gifted with tremendous potential, which stagnated in recent seasons thus stalling his progress and resulting in no new contract offer after the recent expiration.

Unlike Llorente, who appears to be going back out on loan to Las Rozas - Jardí will slot straight into the Castilla squad for the coming season. He did manage to make his debut with Barcelona B in Segunda División B, although he never recorded another appearance - nor gain promotion to the squad full time. Should he impress with Castilla, and the situation present itself - then potential first team involvement could also be on the cards for the former Spanish youth international. What do you think about this signing?
