Brahim Diaz will join AC Milan on a “dry” two year loan spell, according to a reports from Goal Espana and Diario AS.

A dry loan spell means there will be no option to buy for AC Milan. Initially it appeared that the clubs would agree on an option to buy, but Real Madrid would hold an option to re-purchase. Both those clauses have been discarded and the deal remains as a simple two year loan.

The agreement was reached today and the remaining details are expected to be finalized in the next day or two. Brahim will fly from Spain to re-join his AC Milan teammates in preseason. The former Malaga and Manchester City man is expected to be given the vacant #10 shirt. AC Milan will assume all of Brahim’s salary and could pay a loan fee around 3 million euros.

AC Milan pushed hard for a purchase option, but neither Real Madrid nor Brahim Diaz himself, wanted to insert the clause. The young Spaniard is a “project player” for Real Madrid and is expected to return at 23-years-old ready to contribute to the capital club.
