Rodrygo Goes tied Bryan Gil of Sevilla (who was on loan at Eibar in 2020-21) for the most goals and assists in the Spanish league for players born in 2000 or later. The Brazilian has always been a productive player who manages to make an impact on the scoreboard. However, he has struggled to assert himself as a prominent player in the team tending to fall behind other wingers in the pecking order. Overall, his underlying numbers are very impressive having recorded seven goals and assists (fifth highest on the team).
7 - No player born in 2000 or later was directly involved in more goals than Bryan Gil in LaLiga 2020/21 (4 goals and 3 assists – level with Rodrygo Goes 1 and 6). Diamond. pic.twitter.com/wcOZ8AUFN3

Real Madrid will hope that the upcoming season will allow the Brazilian to find his feet and spread his wings even further. If he remains with the first team then Ancelotti will need to tap into the sharpness and productivity of the burgeoning talent. The latter notched one goal and six assists in roughly 1,027 minutes at a clip of one goal/assist every 146 minutes (second highest rate in the team). The above statistic is a reminder of the potential of some of Real Madrid’s young players and in particular one half of its exciting Brazilian attacking duo.
