New Real Madrid signing David Alaba completed his first training session with the squad this Thursday. Alaba was presented at the Bernabeu on Wednesday and today he worked with his new teammates as the tries to pick up his conditioning and form for what’s ahead.
The rest of Real Madrid’s players who featured in the 2021 UEFA Euro for their countries will be joining the squad in training the next few days, so coach Carlo Ancelotti will be happy to have his key players back.

It will be interesting to see what kind of role Alaba plays for Real Madrid this season, given that he’s a very versatile player who can play in multiple slots. If Varane leaves the club as it’s expected, Alaba will likely be a center-back alongside Eder Militao all season long, but he could also be the team’s starting left-back or even a candidate to replace Casemiro in the XI if Varane stays.
