Real Madrid are not interested in selling midfielder Martin Odegaard this summer and would only consider his departure if Odegaard insists on leaving the club and brings a good offer with him, according to a report from La Sexta’s Jose Luis Sanchez.
Reports in the Spanish press published last week indicated that Odegaard is not comfortable in Real Madrid and would be keen on leaving the club, with Arsenal interested in his signing. Apparently, and according to those reports, Odegaard is not confident about getting the playing time he feels he deserves this upcoming season, that being the main reason why he would want to leave the club and be a regular starter week in and week out.
Still, Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid believe Odegaard can be an important player this year, even if he isn’t an undisputed starter. Unless Odegaard insists on his departure, he will have to earn his minutes in every training session like the rest of his teammates.
