The Italian side and Real Madrid have had a good relationship with transfers for the last couple of seasons and Isco could be yet another example of it.

AC Milan are interested in the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Isco Alarcon, according to a report published on La Gazzetta dello Sport. The departure of Hakan Çalhanoglu to Inter as a free agent makes Isco a good candidate for the Italian side and Madrid want to let the midfielder go before his contract expires in 2022.

Milan and Madrid have had a good relationship with transfers in recent time. Players like Brahim and Theo have joined the Italian club from Madrid and Milan also inquired about Jovic, Odriozola or Mariano in the past, so it seems that the two sides could eventually reach some kind of agreement if Milan are indeed interested in Isco.

Isco is still 29 years old but has been losing importance for Madrid over the last few seasons, so much that he’s now expendable and getting rid of his contract is one of the club’s goals for this summer. Other clubs like Sevilla are interested in Isco, although it’s not clear if they will be willing to spend the €20 million Real Madrid want to cash in for his transfer.

It’s also worth noting that new coach Carlo Ancelotti could ultimately decide to keep Isco around, given that the midfielder suits Ancelotti’s style of play.
