Real Madrid’s 2021-2022 pre-season kicks off this Monday, with 13 players scheduled to have their medical in the morning and then the first training session with Carlo Ancelotti in the evening.
The 13 players will be Lunin, Carvajal, Nacho, Marcelo, Odriozola, Mendy, Isco, Odegaard, Lucas, Mariano, Rodrygo, Brahim and Jovic, with some of them still trying to solve their future as the club tries to move them and trim the roster ahead of the season.
It’s clear that Ancelotti will be missing most of his core players like Modric, Kroos, Varane, Benzema, Valverde, Casemiro, Militao or Alaba, so it won’t be easy for him to implement his tactics until most of them rejoin the squad in the upcoming weeks.
It looks like Alaba, Bale, Modric, Varane, Benzema and Kroos could be with the team before the end of the month, so the Italian coach will be looking forward to that date to start working with the squad.
