Real Madrid midfielder Isco Alarcon is not interested in leaving the club and wants to stay in the Spanish capital for another season. His contract with Los Blancos expires in the summer of 2022 and the club would like to sell him this summer, but Isco hasn’t received offers or significant interest from other clubs and therefore wants to stay, according to a report published on Spanish newspaper ABC.

Some reports from the Spanish press suggested that Isco could be on his way to Milan, but the Italian side have not submitted an offer yet. Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui could also be interested in signing Isco but they’re not willing to match the contract he has in Madrid right now, so the transfer doesn’t seem likely at this point.

If Isco stays, he will be at Carlo Ancelotti’s disposal. The Italian coach was Isco’s first manager in Madrid and found two big roles for him. One as a false nine and the other one as a central midfielder on a 4-3-3 formation. Isco suits Ancelotti’s idea and playing style, but will he be committed enough to stay in shape during the course of the season so that he can contribute?
