Real Madrid have confirmed that they’ve sent Japanese wonder kid Takefusa Kubo to Mallorca on a loan deal which will expire in 2022. Real Sociedad were rumored to have the edge to secure the loan deal for Kubo but ultimately Mallorca completed the deal after the Japanese attacker showed interest in making his return to Mallorca.

Kubo will get a fine chance to be a key starter for Mallorca, something which would’ve been more difficult for him in Real Sociedad. He definitely needs those minutes in La Liga to compete for a spot in Real Madrid’s rotation in the future.

Kubo himself expected to have that kind of role for Villarreal last season but he decided to leave the Yellow Submarine in the winter transfer window and join Getafe on another loan deal. He also couldn’t get those minutes for Getafe, so it’s crucial for him to actually make the best out of this season with Mallorca.
