Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti denied El Chiringuito’s report, which said that he wanted to have Cristiano Ronaldo back with the team.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is a Real Madrid legend and he has all my affection and respect. I never considered his signing. We move and look forward,” tweeted Ancelotti on his Social Media.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez also denied the reports about Ronaldo’s potential return to the club during his appearance in El Chiringuito a few months ago, suggesting that it made no sense to commit that kind of money on a 36-year old player.

Ronaldo seems to be keen on leaving Juventus this summer and his contract with the Italian side expires in 2022, so a high transfer fee wouldn’t be needed to sign him. However, it’s also true that he would instantly become Madrid’s highest-paid player, so with the club looking forward to the signing of PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, Ronaldo’s return never made much sense.
