Following Real Madrid’s resounding 4-1 victory over the weekend vs Alaves, the squad players jumped back into training and ongoing fitness sessions during the week, with the team releasing footage of the sessions from Wednesday at Valdebabas.
During the fitness session, I noticed three key trends and exercises. In the following video, I explained each of the exercises along with the underlying rationale for doing them. Don’t try this at home!
Elite football fitness is programmed meticulously with a detailed rationale behind it and constant assessments. Hopefully this gave you some insight into that process for the club and I hope to provide you with more of these insights as the season progresses.
