Real Madrid visit Levante in what will be the team’s second game of the 2021-2022 La Liga season. Los Blancos completed a solid, convincing performance against Alaves last weekend and will try to do the same in Valencia even though they will be without both Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
Fede Valverde will surely start the game alongside Casemiro and then coach Carlo Ancelotti has three different options to choose from for the remaining spot in the midfield. He could either start Isco, who is the most natural option and the most likely one unless the Spanish midfielder is on his way out of the club. Then, Alaba could also be deployed there if Ferland Mendy or Marcelo were available, but Madrid’s new signing will likely be deployed as a left-back. Finally, Ancelotti confirmed that he’s used Marco Asensio as a central midfielder in training, so he might give that option a go.
Either way, Levante have always shown great composure under coach Paco Lopez, so Madrid will have to perform at a high level if they want to win the three points tonight.
