Paris Saint-Germain are getting prepared for the departure of striker Kylian Mbappe this summer, according to a report from reputed French radio station Radio Montecarlo (RMC). PSG have accepted the fact that Mbappe isn’t going to extend his contract and the ownership of the club are now considering his transfer, with a potential departure “more likely” if Madrid submit their offer, per that same report. Los Blancos have not done so just yet but are preparing that offer and will send it PSG’s way over the next few days.
As it’s always the case with every big transfer saga, much has been said and reported about Mbappe’s future in the past few weeks. While some outlets reported that PSG would never sell the player as they believe he could still sign an extension, some others like Josep Pedrerol or Jose Luis Sanchez have always suggested that Mbappe will play for Madrid this season.
There are still eight days before the end of the current transfer window and even if the odds of Madrid landing Mbappe seem to have increased, it’s clear that a deal is not imminent yet. However, it also seems obvious that the attacker is not interested in signing a new contract with PSG, so if Madrid have done their homework Mbappe will wear the white jersey soon, whether it is this season or the next one.
Stay tuned for more news about Mbappe, because the next few days will surely be crucial and nerve-wrecking for everyone involved.
