Has Vinicius Jr taken the next step? Deconstructing his two goals vs Levante

Raj uses his coaching & skills science acumen to illustrate two key skills underlying Vinicius’ goals from the weekend

Brazilian starlet Vinicius Jr came off the bench vs Levante to score a brace, draw a red card from the Levante goalkeeper, and salvage a point in a wild, back-and-forth match that ended in a 3 -3 draw. The performance from Vinicius will certainly create momentum for the winger to crack Carlo Ancelotti’s starting XI moving forward with the winger already having equaled his scoring total of three goals from last year.

More impressive than the two goal output was how the goals were scored with Vinicius displaying key skills that may potentially unlock his finishing in the attacking third, an area where he’s certainly struggled at times. I detailed that in the following video:
