Real Madrid and Fede Valverde are ready to officially announce a contract extension for the Uruguayan midfielder with his new deal set to expire in the summer of 2027, according to a report published on AS this morning.
Valverde’s current deal with Madrid expires in 2025 so while there’s no pressure to sign an extension, it’s likely that Los Blancos want to reward Valverde’s development and growth as a player with a salary raise.
The Uruguayan midfielder is still 23 years old and will surely be a crucial player for Madrid in the future. In fact, he already is the first midfielder behind Kroos and Modric in the rotation, so he will already be a very important member for Ancelotti and his coaching staff this season.
Extending Valverde’s contract and showing him that the club trusts him makes a lot of sense right now, given the quality and potential he has.
