Real Madrid have officially announced that midfielder Casemiro has signed a contract extension with the club, with his new deal set to expire in the summer of 2025. His previous contract was expiring in 2023.

Casemiro is 29 years old and has been an undisputed starter in Madrid’s midfield for the last five or six seasons. He will be 33 years old when his contract expires and it’s clear that he has not shown any signs of decline, so extending his deal makes sense.

Real Madrid have extended the contracts of several players this summer. Players like Casemiro and Valverde have also received a salary raise and their release clauses have also been increased in case other clubs become interested in their signings.

With this extension, Real Madrid have secured that Casemiro will stay at the club during his prime, but that doesn’t mean that this is his last contract with Real Madrid.
