Real Madrid visit Betis hoping to bounce back from their somewhat disappointing 3-3 draw against Levante last Sunday. Los Blancos completed a encouraging first half but their defensive woes cost them and could only salvage a point.
Betis will offer a challenge for Madrid’s defense. Coach Carlo Ancelotti is expected to deploy Alaba and Militao in the center of the defensive line because of Nacho’s injury, so Miguel Gutierrez will likely start at the left-back spot.
On offense, it will be interesting to see if Vinicius has earned a spot in the starting lineup after his three goals in just 60 minutes off the bench. Hazard has the best reputation and it won’t be easy for Ancelotti to drop him and start Vinicius, but it’s definitely something worth considering.
While most fans will keep an eye on social media to see if Real Madrid can finally complete and announce the signing of Kylian Mbappe, Los Blancos must take care of business ahead of the FIFA break.
