Two days off
It’s been a particularly slow day at the office this Monday in the Real Madrid universe. The squad even had a consecutive day off from training at the Valdebebas. Balancing a bit of being a normal human in with intense, elite preparation would seem to be wise.
Summer Transfer Window
There was the usual murmuring about the fact that Kylian Mbappe seems to be the singular focus of the Real Madrid board.
Kiyan has a must-read up about the state of the club after losing some big players without replacements: Making sense of the Varane departure and what it means for Mbappe.
But via Marca, the football reporters at Le Parisien have expressed their opinion rather forcefully:
For all of those who haven’t understood, or don’t seem to understand, particularly in Spain, Mbappe will stay at PSG this year, as this newspaper revealed on July 1.
Is that the end of this summer's transfer saga? ⛔https://t.co/cxzddrVr2N

Ancelotti is backing Vinicius Junior
As originally reported by Jose Felix Diaz, Mister Ancelotti has made a special request to keep Vini — without mentioning some other attacking players — off the trade-blocks because he has plans for him this season. It would be great sign for Real Madrid to witness Vinicius Junior making strides this season with the ball at his feet in front of goal.
