Real Madrid have ended their negotiation with Paris Saint-Germain over Kylian Mbappe’s potential transfer to the Spanish capital, according to reports from L’Equipe, RMC and El Chiringuito.
All of those reports mention the possibility of Madrid and PSG trying to find an agreement one last time on Tuesday, right before the deadline.
El Chiringuito’s Josep Pedrerol adds that Real Madrid are now focused on signing Mbappe as a free agent as soon as January 1st, when he will be allowed to negotiate with other teams if he doesn’t sign a contract extension with PSG.
However, RMC believe that the French side are still hopeful about their chances of extending Mbappe’s deal to avoid that from happening.
This is not over, though. Real Madrid could very well improve their offer one last time on Tuesday or PSG might as well realize that it’s better for them to sell Mbappe while they still can. This is a game of poker and it will not be over until the transfer deadline.
