It’s Deadline Day baby!

So, finally, silly season is coming to a close, which means that we’re gonna be hearing less nonsensical rumours for a few months. However, this is also the last possible day to sign Mbappe if he is to join the -apparent- club of his dreams for the 21/22 season. Every sports media outlet on the globe has their eyes fixed on Mbappe, Nesser and Uncle Flo. If a deal is to be struck, it happens today, or more likely, tonight and more specifically, at midnight a la Ronaldo Nazario. The DDG saga is the failed version of the aforementioned event due to that fax machine and even then we won 3 UCLs in a row. See? There’s reason to be optimistic. At this point, I’m simply hoping for an end to the teen drama. Too old for it and it doesn’t fit the image of Real Madrid (nor their intent).

I’ll give you boys and girls the latest info we’ve got on the saga:

• PSG rejected Real’s offer of 170 mil. +10 mil. in bonuses.
• Mbappe himself asked PSG to reconsider.
• The clubs are (finally) negotiating.

• Real are considering raising their offer to the region of 200 mil.

• The negotiations seem to have stopped for the time being as both sides do not seem to find common ground. It’s pretty much what’s been going on for a while. Much talk, Mbappe doesn’t renew, Madrid make an offer, offer bites za dasuto and we’re back to square one.
• But hey! There’s still a day to go and Flo’s a master of the deadline day.

May the Madridismo shield us from be with us, this final and possibly frenetic day of this true volcano of a transfer window. Just... let’s close the window and get on with the action already. A human being can only take so much change at such short time. Thank Melitele for Ronaldo at least moving to United and somewhat restoring order to Footballand.
