Real Madrid have given up on the possibility of signing attacker Kylian Mbappe this summer, according to a report from El Chiringuito’s Josep Pedrerol. Los Blancos offered €200 million for his transfer today but PSG never replied to this offer, replicating what they did with Madrid’s previous two offers.
Pedrerol also mentioned that Mbappe is “devastated” and that Real Madrid will start working on his future contract, which he will be free to sign in January 1st, 2022, six months before his current deal with PSG expires.
Real Madrid have tried their best to sign Mbappe this summer as they believed a player of his caliber was worth the effort. However, PSG were never forced to sell because of their immense budget and ultimately decided to keep the player around and risk losing him for free in less than a year.
Unless some kind of miracle happens, the Mbappe transfer saga has ended.
