Real Madrid players kicked off their second training day of the week with a morning session on Wednesday, according to RealMadrid.com.
Karim Benzema returned to the Valdebebas after serving term for France at the Euro 2020 and a following quarantine period after testing positive for COVID-19. Several Brazilian players including Casemiro, Eder Militão and Vinicius also returned to training for the Tuesday training session.
The players present worked on both gym training and tactical work. They reportedly took part in physical exercises before focusing on ball pressing and possession.
Eden Hazard reportedly featured in a part of the group session while still recovering from the hamstring injury he picked up with Belgium at the Euro 2020. Ferland Mendy trained alone while Toni Kroos and Dani Carvajal both spent their training session indoors.
These training sessions will lead into Real Madrid’s final preseason match against Milan on August 8. Real’s first La Liga match of the 2021-22 season is against Alaves on August 14.
