Real Madrid attacker Eden Hazard has successfully recovered from the injury he picked up with Belgium in the past Euro and rejoined the squad in training this week, meaning that he should be available when Los Blancos play their season opener against Alaves on August 14th.
Still, Hazard’s history with injuries suggests that Real Madrid’s coaching and medical staffs could take a cautious approach, so the attacker might not play relevant minutes for the first few games of the season as he tries to improve his conditioning and complete his own personal pre-season.
Karim Benzema and David Alaba also tested negative for Covid-19 this week and have rejoined the squad. The Frenchman will need to train with intensity before he’s able to start for Madrid, so it will be interesting to see if he makes it in time for the opening match against Alaves in just one week, given that he wasn’t able to train with the team before testing positive for Covid.
